Level Intermediate
The pattern is of an intermediate level due to it’s unusual construction, but it includes step by step video tutorial for each difficult technique, and is therefore accessible to beginners in search of a challenge and who wish to move to the next level.

Construction
The Swann sweater is worked from the top down in triple strand with 7 mm needles, in flat and circular knitting. You will start by knitting the back, starting at the bottom of the back neckline, and then you will shape the shoulders in flat knitting, one after the other. Once you have knitted the front of the shoulders, you will join them and knit the top of the front. Then, you’ll join the front stitches to the stitches you had on hold for the back, and you’ll cast on stitches for each underarm. The bottom of the body is worked in circular knitting, and finished with a 1x1 rib edge with 6 mm needles.
For the collar, you will start by picking up stitches along the neckline, and you will knit the leaf stitch pattern in the round. You will pick up the stitches along the neckline a second time with 6 mm needles in order to knit the I-cord edge. Lastly, you will pick up the stitches along the armholes to knit the sleeves in the round with the Magic Loop technique. The sleeves are shaped with decreases at the end, and the edges are worked in 1x1 rib stitch with 6 mm needles.

Shape and sizes
Sizes XS (S - M - L – XL – 2XL – 3XL – 4 XL) are suite for an approximate bust size of 80/85 (85/90 – 90/95 – 95/105 – 105/115 – 115/125 – 125/135 – 135/145) cm. To choose your size, make sure to measure your bust size, and choose the version depending on the fitting you prefer.
